Gina has unfortunately lived in shelters since she was very young. She always needs to keep busy with her people! She loves to stay active and play fetch, tug of war, swim and go for runs. Gina is very active, and with an owner who can match her energy, they will be sure to thrive together. She enjoys meeting new people and getting treats! Gina has a high prey drive which makes her aggressive towards small dogs and wildlife. She is reactive to all dogs and some vehicles; she will need to be walked on a muzzle as a precaution. Gina’s reactivity has decreased greatly with a combination of draining her energy, always keeping distance from dogs, positive reinforcement for good behaviour with constant training on her walks to occupy her mind and keep her in control. She will need a dedicated owner to continue this with her long term. Gina is suitable in a house with a fully fenced backyard and no small children.
