Hello, my name is Tyson!The GHS family think I'm awesome because I am active and colorful - I will entertain you, and myself, for hours! I am inquisitive and love attention from my human friends; once I bond with you, I will be your best buddy for life. Did you know that I can live for up to 35 years?! I can also learn to speak several words if my family teaches them to me! My new family should be sure to do a lot of research on Conure care as we have specific diet, housing, socialization and enrichments needs to live our happiest and healthiest lives. I am highly intelligent and love to cuddle and bathe myself - a nice big cage with out of cage time to explore and snuggle would make me so happy!If you think I would make a good match for your home, click the "Adopt Me" button to apply!Adoption processContactless Adoptions are here and going well! 1) View the pets below by clicking on their name. Please ensure you read their adorable description and all their important details. 2) Choose the pet that you feel would be a good match for your home. 3) Fill out an Expression of Interest Form (EOI) below, and email XXXX@guelphhumane.ca. Please remember that an animal may receive many applications. If this pet doesn’t work out, we will try to match you with another amazing pet. 4) Our team will reach out to you to discuss the next steps, including setting up a virtual adoption meeting via Zoom or other video conferencing. This is a great opportunity for us to assess if the pet is a perfect match for your home/family. These meetings can be scheduled 7 days a week during shelter operation hours. 5) If everything goes well, we will set-up a pick-up time and your new pet gets to come home! Our staff have introduced creative ways to continue our important work while maintaining appropriate social distancing in accordance with Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph (WDG) Public Health standards as a result of COVID-19. At this time, we are unable to welcome more people into the building outside our staffing needs. We unfortunately cannot properly socially distance with a higher building occupancy.
