FOR ADOPTION: MAGNUM is a handsome, approximately 15 month old male that is looking for his loving forever family. This big fella was found as a stray over the winter. When no one claimed him his finder took him into her home as a foster to work on regaining his trust in humans. It was slow work at first but her dedication paid off and Magnum’s friendly, cuddly and playful personality emerged. Magnum’s finder already has a house full of pets and only took him in to help him get ready for his forever family so he moved into our care once he was comfortable with people. While Magnum was with his foster family we learned he is excellent with other cats and comfortable around small dogs. He has also been non reactive towards the calm large dogs he has briefly met while at the shelter. Magnum is a very friendly and affectionate cat. He throughly enjoys being pet and if you try to stop before he is ready he will grab your hand (without his claws) and pull it back towards him for more loving. Magnum is excellent with adults and teenagers, we’ve not had a chance to test him with small children but we think he will do well as long as they are able to give him time to warm up to them. Magnum seems quite comfortable indoor only and he could enjoy catio life or being indoor/outdoor in a safe area. He is neutered, vaccinated, tattooed and up to date on parasite control. This usually includes deworming, revolution (for mites and fleas) and vaccinations. Adult animals are all spayed or neutered before adoption and all puppies/kittens are required to be spayed or neutered as soon as they are old enough. Potential adopters must be willing to travel to Smithers to pick up their new pet. To apply for a pet please complete an adoption application online (www.nwas.ca) or download and return it to NWAS by email (XXXX@nwas.ca) or mail (Box 3064, Smithers, BC, V0J 2N0) if your application is approved we will then set up a meeting.
