Kira is ready to find her forever home! Kira is a medium size Bedlington Terrier mix weighing about 19 lbs. She is approximately 2.5 years old.Kira is looking for a person or family who makes her feel safe and comfortable. She is a loving, affectionate, snuggly pup who longs for human companionship. Kira had a tough start in life which initially made her cautious and shy with new people. But over the past few months, she has learned to trust again, all she needed was love & patience to help her feel at ease.Kira was rescued from a facility called Saint Vincent's Home in Guadalajara. She lived in terrible, unsanitary conditions and was starving, dehydrated and anemic. She was terrified when she was first rescued and initially a bit fear aggressive. Thankfully this passed quite quickly once she felt love from her new caretakers and received regular meals, fluids, and medical treatment. Now she is the sweetest dog who shows so much gratitude for the new life she's been given.Kira gets along with dogs, cats and kids! She is such a happy pup now that she's living a healthly life away from the constant fear and awful conditions of the facility where she was found.Kira is low-medium energy, comfortable on leash, and crate trained. She sees her crate and as her safe space, a peaceful den to relax. She still needs more practice with housetraining as she has never lived in a "real" home before. She is currently living at a rescue shelter in Jalisco, Mexico. When her forever home is found, she will make her way to Canada to unite with her new family! Kira is fully vetted and has a clean bill of health from the veterinarian. Up to date on all vaccinations. Spayed. Dewormed. SNAP 4Dx negative (Heartworm, Lyme disease, Ehrlichia, and Anaplasma). Distemper negative. Flea/tick/heartworm prevention. No known medical issues or injuries. There is a fee of $235.00 for transport to Canada and customs clearing in addition to adoption fees.##1801314##
