Hello, our names are Bean, Cheese and Burrito!Doesn't that make you want a little snack?! Would you kindly share with us - pretty please with some cheese on top! The GHS family thinks we're awesome because we are besties! We like to do everything together, whether its snacking, chewing, or climbing around our cage! When we've tired ourselves out with our silly antics, we like to cuddle together in a cozy bed or hut for nice nap! Given rats do better in groups, the three of us would love to be adopted together. Our new family should know that sometimes we can be shy at first, but with some patience, treats, and lots of bonding time, we'll come out of our shells in no time! Cheese is the most outgoing of our little clan - she will sit on your shoulder and snuggle on your lap! Bean and Burrito are a bit more reserved but don't mind being picked up and petted - we would benefit from some additional socialization. To keep our teeth nice and trimmed, we like to have a variety of chews and a rat-specific diet. Please ensure you read their adorable description and all their important details. 2) Choose the pet that you feel would be a good match for your home. 3) Fill out an Expression of Interest Form (EOI) below, and email XXXX@guelphhumane.ca. Please remember that an animal may receive many applications. If this pet doesn’t work out, we will try to match you with another amazing pet. 4) Our team will reach out to you to discuss the next steps, including setting up a virtual adoption meeting via Zoom or other video conferencing. This is a great opportunity for us to assess if the pet is a perfect match for your home/family. These meetings can be scheduled 7 days a week during shelter operation hours. 5) If everything goes well, we will set-up a pick-up time and your new pet gets to come home! Our staff have introduced creative ways to continue our important work while maintaining appropriate social distancing in accordance with Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph (WDG) Public Health standards as a result of COVID-19. At this time, we are unable to welcome more people into the building outside our staffing needs. We unfortunately cannot properly socially distance with a higher building occupancy.
