Ernie is a shy and sweet and very fluffy senior cat. She previously lived outdoors but in her old age has begun to warm up to a life indoors with people.Ernie is typically quiet and usually likes to spend the day resting in her favourite spots around the house. She enjoys spending evenings exploring and sitting beside you on the couch, or greeting you in the mornings. She loves gentle chin scritches and pets around her head and back, especially around meal times. She can be vocal around meal times, but otherwise is a quiet cat.Ernie has no teeth so requires a wet food diet, but otherwise has no medical concerns. She is spayed and has had good litter box habits the whole time she's been indoors.In the time that Ernie has been in foster care, she's grown from being very nervous and hiding most of the time, to following us around during mealtimes and purring when we're in the same room. Ernie can still be shy when there are lots of people around, but enjoys company, treats, and pets, so her ideal home would be a small, quiet home with experienced cat owners where she can settle in and continue to grow and warm up to indoor life.
